Team Leader

Thrive Landscapes is looking add a couple of team leaders to our roster this year… if you are: 

  • A holder of a Certificate of Qualification: Red Seal or have successfully completed Common Core L3 or an equivalent certification,
  • Serious about a career in Landscape Horticulture,  passionate about learning and improving, happy participating in a great team environment, interested in completing an apprenticeship and working towards an eventual certification (Red Seal)
  • Excited about engaging with homeowners about their outdoor space,
  • Neat and tidy and care about the details,
  • Interested in being involved in something that gives back to their community.

    • Thrive is willing to sponsor you as an apprentice so you can start adding to those hours you’ve already gained towards your certification as a Landscape Horticulturist.
    • Thrive can help with certifications through ISA (International Society of Arborists) and iiabc (Irrigation Industry Association of British Columbia).
  • Modern Equipment and Vehicles
    • Thrive utilizes the best equipment available and keeps them current and in good working order so you always have the resources to complete your projects.
    • Thrive has brand new landscaping trucks that pack all the equipment you’re going to need to get the job done. They easily dump and deliver tonnes (literally) of material to and from the job site. They are easy to drive, require no special drivers license, comfortable, super safe, and have AIR CONDITIONING. Also, they look cool!
  • Competitive Compensation
    • Signing bonus after a successful Probationary Period (3 months)
    • $0.35/hr extra for current OFA L1 plus increases for completing further technical training and experience inflation indexed annually.

  • Paperless!
    • Thrive utilizes a suite of software apps that help run the whole show and keep us from getting bogged down by paper. This means that you need to have a smart phone (e.g., android or OSX) with a data connection to have access to all these apps. Because having a smartphone is a requirement to working at Thrive, you will be given documentation for tax purposes (i.e., you will be able to write off some of your cell phone expenses!).

    • Member of iiabc (Irrigation Industry Association of British Columbia).
    • Member of ISA PNW (International Society of Arborists, Pacific Northwest Chapter).

Thrive Landscapes Ltd. operates out of Parksville and services the Oceanside Area (Nanoose Bay to Qualicum Beach North, and all places in between).
